Magnesium fluoride crystal (MgF2) belongs to the tetragonal crystal system, the melting point is 1255℃, the hardness is high, the mechanical properties are good, the chemical properties are stable, and it is not easy to deliquesce and corrode. The main feature of the optical performance is that it has high transmission in the vacuum ultraviolet band. It is widely used in optical fiber communication, military industry and various optical components.
